Layers make things more interesting. Grabbing our attention, drawing us in to look a little closer, to consider what we don’t know. The synergy between each complementing each other and making the whole greater than the sum of its parts. The layers add character, give things perspective and meaning. The hope pours out of me onto the canvas - not being able to conceive is a real possibility due to chemo, it has been a long attempt but not the first battle I have faced and not one I am ready to give up on. I have come this far and survived by a miracle, I know the miracle of a new life has to be one more layer to me as a person.
